I know better vegs than Okra, know worse vegs (more of the former, though, but I certainly consider them edible). I'm perfectly ready to try another type of pulse - they're not gourmet's greatest delight, but few if any of them taste at all objectionable. Poor Man's Protein, they're called for a reason. I have no idea who Nelda Burrow is.

Fried okra is ok. It tastes the same as anything fried.

Disagree. Frying food can bring out a lot of flavor if it's done correctly. Frying isn't greasy or watery [/quote]if done right.
