name a possible (at least a semi realistic pick) who isnt named kaine, bayh, biden or clinton.

ill say claire mccaskill.  they seem close.  ando obama might want to go 100% with this change theme... and it might help in missouri.

Ray Mabus =  ultimate wildcard pick.

Gore would be my normal wildcard pick.

Lots of "inside the box" wildcards -- Nunn, Sebelius, Bill Nelson, Ben Nelson

Outside the box?  Richard Lugar.  I know Obama respects him that much.  But I can't imagine the Democrats sitting still for it.

I didn't say Robert Wexler, this time.  Aren't you proud of me, Torie?

I still think Dianne Feinstein would be a good pick.

As the official referee for this event, I have to declare that neither Nunn or Sebelius count as wild cards.  Sebelius is the fourth-most-mentioned VP and lots of people in this forum still predict it will be her.  Nunn is the sixth-most mentioned VP after Clinton in the media.

Thanks for hiring me as your referee.

Ah but Mr. Referee you should read how the rules are written...

name a possible (at least a semi realistic pick) who isnt named kaine, bayh, biden or clinton.

Therefore suggestions of Sebelius and Nunn are valid in this contest.

Lugar for the Dems. You wanted wild, and that would be wild.

For the GOP, which for some reason is ignored on this thread, Jindal, a choice I would strongly oppose, but then my phone isn't ringing.

Timothy Roemer.

Not a bad pick, actually.  Though he is unknown nationally.  And like Kaine, is a pro-life lib.

Eh... he does have a pretty liberal record by American standards... but he'd still be a far better pick than any of the anticipated choices.
