Several observations on this survey results:

First, it is one more example which indicates that McCain has improved his performance over the past couple of months.

Second, given that Ohio is slightly more favorable to Republicans that the nation, it is indeed plausible that McCain is leading there at this time.

Third, a lead of four points is stretching the realm of plausibility (no Republican Presidential candidate has carried Ohio by four or more points in twenty years).

Fourth, the five point lead claim is absurd.  Rasmussen is playing games with his polls when he pushes supporters to other candidates to support McCain.

Considering only two Presidential nominees (one Democrat, one Republican) have carried Ohio since 1988, you can make almost any absurd generalization you like.

Compared to Rasmussen's July poll, this is a 5 point improvement for Obama.  Rasmussen's been consistently reporting more Republican results in Ohio than other pollsters.  Anyone know when SUSA's next poll of this state is due?
