A blatant pander to a Pro Choice woman, no less. The base will be oh so very pleased.

A 7% approval record from NARAL?  I've looked at her votes.  She's not as anti-choice as Tom Coburn, but she's pretty far to the right.  Look at her voting record.  Now, she might not favor overturning Roe (I don't know) and she does support stem cell (like McCain, Orin Hatch and Gordon Smith) but on all the other abortion issues, she's just plain dreamy to the theocons.

They'll be fine with her.  Moreso than with Ridge.  MUCH moreso than with Lieberman.

I'll be honest - I never really looked at her voting record on this issue. I've always heard that she is Pro Choice though.

Oh, God, I hope this is true. I don't want Kay but I really, really, really don't want Romney.

On CNN, they just said that the McCain campaign might put out an official statement late tomorrow night (after Obama's speech) announcing who the running mate choice is.

Hmmmm...still an unnecessary risk.

Let's hope that he's being honest. That's tough to do when considering the person...

Lol, is this turning into a game show?:

http://www.drudgereport.com/

"TOP CONTENDERS TO GATHER IN DAYTON, NOON FRIDAY... WILL SHARE SAME STAGE..."

If that's actually true, then the name might *not* leak tonight.  Though we could find out who qualifies as a "top contender" tonight.

Oh, God, no. Ugh.

Who helps McCain more? Pawlenty or Romney? Sorry, I'm not very familiar with Pawlenty or Minnesota politics. I'm not expecting much of a fair or balanced explanation but I'm hoping a reasonable poster will please tell me. Please no "OMGz McSame sux".

He's good because he's young and satisfies conservatives. He also doesn't have the problems that Romney has.

Supposedly, the Secret Service went today to do a security sweep of his sister's house.

Son of a Bitch.  I can't stand him.  Why?  Seriously.  Why?

That was part of standard procedure. His sister was hosting some McCain event or something and Romney was going as a surrogate.

I kind of want it to be Palin now (if it isn't Pawlenty) just so jmfcst can go crazy in a positive way for once.  Wink

Palin would be my next preference after Pawlenty.

I kind of want to say the same but the experience thing is an issue. Then again, Romney really isn't better with experience and I wouldn't prefer him anyway based on his general horrible-ness. Lieberman is too big of a risk. Ridge is...ehhh.

So Pawlenty is taken out of consideration.  Sad

But it's looking like Romney is out, too. Smiley

Looks like I want Palin...

Anyone watching the mess on MSNBC? Scarborough looks to be pissed off at someone on the set. Anyway, one of the guests worked for Romney. Romney just e-mailed him, saying that he won't be in Dayton.
