Now I really want to see McAuliffe get the nod, just so I can see this happen.

I'll endorse a third party candidate, preferably Green, if he wins the primary. Smiley

I can't wait for the spin if this guy is the nominee. Since we know he'll lose and assuming Obama wins this year, we'll be able to say, "The resounding loss of the former DNC chair is proof that America has rejected the Obama agenda."

Wink

Seriously...beating this guy will be awesome.

Why would you want to beat the #1 hack for your beloved Queen Hillary?

You know...I'm really tired of doing this. You know I am not a fan of Hillary. You know why I was all about her in the primary (and looking back on it, I'm glad we're not facing her now).

Terry McAuliffe (the biggest anti-Obama hack in the country) = The Obama agenda?

C'mon Phil. People are stupid, but they're not that stupid.

Frankly I'll be stunned if he makes it through the primary. Deeds seems like the winner.

Who do you think would be the republican candidate? There are quite a few- McDonnell (perhaps a rematch with Deeds), Bolling, Allen and I suspect Cantor also could be a firm candidate though maybe he'll rather build up seniority in the congress.
Any Virginian to shed some light about the likelihood of each candidate?

You guys had candidates for State Representative and other local offices saying that their Republican opponents "voted with Bush" in their local legislative bodies. If people hear it enough, they believe it.

People don't even know who the guy is so the spin is even more likely to work.

McDonnell is going to be unopposed (or virtually unopposed) unless Kaine breaks his promise to serve out his term, in which case Bolling would be the nominee.

McDonnell is going to be the nominee; there really doesn't seem to be any other viable candidate willing to challenge him.  My ideal matchup would be Creigh Deeds v. Tom Davis, but I doubt Davis would run.

I'll have to see what his positions are if he runs, but he would likely get my vote in the general election.

Not me.  I'd write-in Mark Warner, or vote GOP if Tom Davis were running.

He'd be tough to beat in a primary with the connections he has.

National primaries have much more money flowing into them. It helps when you have $30,000,000/quarter to let the people of Iowa know who you are.

And who won the Virginia primary?

An open primary I might add. Are you going to see tons of independents flock to the support of this joke?
