I'm glad you asked.

After a great deal of consideration, soul-searching, and similarly improbable baloney, I've finally decided how I'll be voting in the presidential election.  The ticket can best be described thus:

  • One half of the ticket is an attractive forty-something with experience in local level politics, but very limited experience any higher than that.

  • The other half of the ticket is a seasoned political veteran who has served in Congress for decades, and suffered through a tragic episode of his life many years ago.  He is currently married to his second wife.

  • The running mate on this ticket hails from a state with only three electoral votes, which were pretty much expected to vote for the same ticket anyway.  This person also has a son in the military, who is being deployed in Iraq this fall.

I hope that clears up any ambiguity for you.

God bless you all, and God bless Armenia.

Yeah, wouldn't it be for that black guy and that chick the two tickets would hardly be distinguishable this year.

Joe, we really miss you. Tell your new bride that you need to set aside from those most important in your life - the members of the Atlas forum.  Wink

Your choice for President is still a major mystery. I remember when I used to think that you were definitely for Obama (but I still had great admiration for you). I'm so glad that you corrected me on that one. Being an undecided voter is so Joe Republic-esque. I love it.

I completely understand your vote now.

In all seriousness, how was the honeymoon?

Nice to see you, Joe. I remember back in '06 when you shocked the forum with your vote choice. Smiley Joe Republic is an important vote, never forget it.

We demand wedding pictures, so that most of us shall make appreciative positive comments and so that someone sporting a blue avatar from a Southern state creepily hits on Mrs. Republic.  (and about a 50% chance that you are hit on by Josh and/or jtfdem/MSUFan uses the thread to post another picture of himself)

Wedding pictures are a bad idea on this forum.  It gives both Harry and Josh22 a new picture to use for those lonely nights.

Welcome back, Joe.  However, I have to admit that I had no idea you were gone.

BTW, I'm disappointed that you won't be voting for a joke candidate like you did in the primaries.

Mike Gravel was no joke candidate. He's the next President of the US but one!
