So. Ive had type two diabetes since I was about 3 years old. Ive always controlled it pretty well its whatever. Apparently though night...I did something I wasn't suppost to and gave myself waaay too much insulin. So I might be going to the hospital pretty soon. Im sure I will be okay...if I DO go to the hospital it'll be for precautionary measures.

Currently my bloodsugar is 43 which isnt great....but its not like it was at around 8. It was 28 then Tongue

That's no good.. stay safe, bud.

My friend once had a level of 28 and nearly passed out from it.. she was popping sugar pills left and right.  Hopefully everything turns out okay.

Its a weird feeling...but ive never passed out from low bloodsugar. I think not being able to and being conscious during everything is worse. You can't talk right and you cant see straight and everything is just...topsy turby. Its scary...but everything seems fine now. I might have to go anyways just so everything is okay and im regulated for the night.

Not really. If you take something like say...drinking juice or eating some kind of snack to help regulate it...it will talk awhile for it to fully start working. So the effects wont go away instantaneously but it'll start working in a few minutes.

My bloodsugar is 66 now...so almost there Smiley

I don't have diabetes but sometimes my blood sugar gets low if I don't eat.  I get a headache and very lightheaded and sick to my stomach... and very very irritable.

Once I eat something though, I feel much better within about a half hour.

I can't imagine what it must feel like to have to worry about it all the time... but I suppose you get used to it.

Glad it's getting better!

Coming from a family of diabetics (luckily I've been spared so far), I wish you nothing but the best, my friend.

Do exactly what you're told........

Well, I hope you will be alright. I know it sucks, but the doctor's orders are basically final until your situation improves. Are you sure you have Type II (where your body no longer responds to insulin and your pancreas can no longer produce the needed amount), though? Are you sure it isn't Type I (where you simply have malfunctioning inlet cells in your pancereas)

Its Type I...that's my fault Tongue It started to get a lot better as the night progressed and it was to the point where it was pretty stable and I didn't need to go to the hospital. It was definitely a scary experience that wont happen again. Thanks for everyone who responded though...made me feel better Smiley
