That's a fantastic ad, except I don't know if it changes any minds or if anyone cares. It was just lovely to watch and so creatively executed.

It was a really good ad, except for the rushed info at the end.

Damn.

That's probably the most clever political ad I've seen in years. I'm not sure it's effective though. It's almost too clever by a half. Unless you're really paying attention you might think it's actually a movie. Plus it reeks of Hollywood, which Franken would be wise to jettison if he wants to be taken seriously.

Tying each Republican to George Bush is becoming and old and tiring strategy.  I mean, they freaking tied Olympia Snowe to Bush.

People who live in one state and don't follow politics religiously, will only see their own politicians tied to Bush.

This was deadly in '94.

Yeah, but every single Republican politician?  It's seriously becoming unfair.  I could argue that most Democratic senators would have voted 90+% with Jimmy Carter.

Well, Jimmy Carter isn't the incumbent president. Besides, every other Republican attack ad invokes Nancy Pelosi and "San Francisco values".

You don't think that it's even a little bit deceiving that the DCCC connects every single Republican congressman/senator to Bush, even if he/she is a maverick like Olympia Snowe or Susan Collins?

If you're looking for truth in advertising, I don't think political ads are the way to go. There's no lack of worse smear ads on both sides, so I think tying people to Bush isn't a particularly big deal.

Besides, as I recall candidates campaigned in 2002 and 2004 on their support of Bush. Turnabout is fair play.

Norm Coleman is just a little worried because he has his thumb in his butt and he can't figure out which way the wind is blowing.

Democrat... Republican... left.. right

Normie's done 'em all.

Of course it's "unfair," but who expects fairness in politics? Besides, it is fair for Coleman, because he's always been about having his finger in the wind and for the first several years of his term that meant fighting for Bush in Congress. He only started backpedaling when Bush's popularity sank.

The world would be a better place if all Democrats made that their official campaign slogan.  I salute you!

Yeah, that would be nice if the Republicans weren't always trying to play attacker and victim at the same time.
