What are the ones you know of in your state?

I just discovered the sacrificial lamb GOP candidate for State House in my district who'll be lucky to break 15% is a Paulite. He doesn't seem THAT insane though from his site. Not one of the uber-nutty ones: http://www.andrewsheppard.net

It seems they've seized the local GOP, though frankly that's about as relevant as the Texas Green Party. I should look for some others.

In my state they're resurrecting the Byzantine Empire. Should I be concerned?

I've never understood why many on the left make fun.  You'd think you guys would welcome the change, but no, you seem to favor neo-con's and fundies.

But hey, I'm always underestimating the stupidity of the mainstream left in this country.

We have Peter Vidrine running in LA CD-7 (but I live in CD-1 so I can't vote for him). Brent Sanders was suppose to run in CD-5, but never filed.

You're running for congress in the first district? I'm only a block away from being able to vote for you. Sad

It's a lot easier to fix a screwed up neo-con/fundie government than a gutted libertarian one.

No, I'm not running. I just live in the First District, so I can't vote for the guy in the 7th District. Sorry for the confusion. I am running for Presidential Elector though so my name will be on the ballot.

Once I retire from work I'll run for congress, but not now.

Ahh, I see now.

Where in the district do you live, if you don't mind my asking?

While I live in WA-06, the Republican candidate in WA-03 is a Paulite. He beat the party favorite in a relatively hilarious primary.

I have a suspicion that a lot of the Republican Precinct Committee Officers elected in August were Paulites as well.

I've lived in Paul's district....so I've had about as much of the r[EVOL]ution as I can bare, especially when you consider that Paul is a hypocrite when it comes to pork. Then again, I suppose pork is only bad when not in the form of marketing for wild shrimp. Roll Eyes

The other lady was not the party fav. in WA-03. It was a good primary though, we got fairly close to a D vs D scenario.

I talked to a friend who has state GOP sources.  Apparently, they looked at the caucus preferences, looked at the newly-elected PCO list, and threw up a little in their mouths.

I doubt it will amount to much, the GOP has moved in pretty much the exact opposite direction the last 10 years minimum.

But if it does: Viva la resistance!
