Unfortunately yes. Stereo stolen from my car in high school and home buglared twice in college. Nothing too scary, fortunately.

I've had a couple of car stereo's stolen.  Two radar detectors.  I was "mugged" in the bathroom at High School once.  Never had a bad guy in my home though.  I've had my dignity stolen once, but I gave my virginity away.  (not at the same time)

Yup, I was manager at a sub shop while in college, and got robbed at gunpoint in the store.

Fairly frightening, that.

It never came up in conversation. Would you have preferred it if I did?

the very act of compelling me to stand is a crime.  I explained this and gave the teacher(s) a copy of the relevant SCOTUS case.

Yeah, a couple car radio thefts. Had a guy come to my door at about 2am during a series of forced entry assaults/rapes/robberies in my neighborhood. When I answered the door with my rifle he quickly walked away.

Yep. Last year, somebody got access to my ATM/Credit card and charged $2,000 on it. I called my bank and they asked me, after looking at the purchases; "I take it you were not in Bangkok today (where the purchases were made)." The bank then told me about gas stations where they get your ATM/Credit Card number (from a strip) and use your card.

I was robbed at knife point while in high school. When I refused to give them my wallet, I got stabbed in the hand right between my index finger and thumb. I started to chase the kid for bout a block after it happened till he got away. He told me if I called the cops I'd be dead. So I did the sensible thing, and called the cops. I pointed him out a line out, and did all the other fun stuff. Nothing bad has happened since, but than again.. I am kind of a big deal.

If people want to see pictures of the scar, just let me know.

Of course.

Everyone who has paid taxes should be answering yes... there have certainly been crimes (in the literal sense) against the Federal Treasury.
