i still think perdue wins by at least 3.  mccrory is going to have big time troubles 'down east'

It really depends on how McCain does in NC.  If McCain wins the state by 4 points, it's going to Perdue.  If he wins it by 8, though, I think it goes to McCrory.

it doesnt matter.

bush won big in nc in both 00 and 04, at the same time easley also won big.

bush won big in nc in both 00 and 04, at the same time easley also won big.

The difference is that Easley was comfortably ahead in the polls unlike Perdue, and would have won by a larger margin if he wasn't running in a presidential year.

If NC is within 4%, Obama has won big. NC will go to the GOP by 8 minimum.
