Sorry about the attention whore post, but I was just thinking about this now.

Basically because I hate both extremes. See my recent attacks on both Shakespeare and Disaster Movie. In addition see how I view both opera and rap. Etc. So basically anything uber-either I hate.

I know this is in the context of art and culture, but isn't "hating" something extreme a bit, you know.. extreme?

Generalisations are fun! Rap isn't always low brow and nor are opera and Shakespeare necessarily high brow.

Those are probably my tastes. Although, I would like an attempt to make a really high-energy performance more ...umm... sophisticated.

The question asked is "Is my taste more high or low brow?" and therefore is not a question of whether your taste is extreme high brow, or extreme low brow, but rather: is your taste above or below the average. Your attempt to distance yourself from either extreme, citing your dislike of both Shakespeare and Disaster Movie doesn't have any bearing on the question asked.
