Another sh**tty extreme right bill that will probably pass the "Democratic" Congress.

Bernie Sanders, one of the few FFs in the Senate, nails it. Bernie Sanders speaks for me, while almost all of the 100 Senators speak for the extreme rich.

Its not an extreme right bill.  This sort of language is fairly common in existing law.  It doesn't prevent the law itself from being challenged.  What it does do is prevent the courts being used to second guess administrative decisions about which mortgages to buy.  The various anti-fraud statutes still in theory apply in case when someone does something crooked.

Unfortunately, the Democrats in Congress will force this bill through to passage, and few Republicans will be brave enough to stand up against it.  The entire banking industry will be made an arm of the federal government, all in the name of "something must be done!"

Senator Sanders will stand his ground, but yeah, he's not a Democrat.

The most disgusting thing about it is that the job market has been sh**tty for a while, and they're still not doing anything about it.

Of course not - it is their policy to create a poor jobs 'market'.  They prefer a large reserve army of desperate unemployed, as it is in their interest.

True. The sad thing is that center-right Obama is running so far to the right on the bailout that McCain may end up flanking him to the left.
