Welcome back America, it's 7:00AM EST, and Colorado's result is still undecided. 94% of the polls there have reported, and so far, McCain is ahead in Colorado with 49.4% of the vote against 49.3% for Barack Obama. The final 6% will decide the winner. Let's turn to our
WNN Election Desk first of all for some electoral results.
McCain/Romney (R) 265 Obama/Bayh (D) 264
Colorado will decide the election now that Ohio has gone for McCain?ELECTION DESK: Right. McCain needs to win NV, OH, and CO to win the election. So far, he's won two of those. He's leading in Colorado by less than .1 of a percent, so we can't give you the winner there yet. As a result, we don't know the name of the 44th President just yet.
Any information on the remaining precincts?ELECTION DESK: Not really. But they seem to be spread in politically different counties, from Republican strongholds to Democratic strongholds. So it adds to the confusion even more.
Any idea on when those remaining 6% will be coming in?ELECTION DESK: The Colorado SoS is reporting 95% in right now, so it's coming in slowly, but the results are on their way.
Finally, what about the special election in Mississippi?ELECTION DESK: There is a recount underway due to the extreme closeness of the results there. So we won't get results for some time from Mississippi.
Who led pre-recount?ELECTION DESK: Wicker had a minuscule lead in votes. But a statistical tie anyways.
