Do you think Walter is jealous that you don't have a crush on him anymore?

"Who is WalterMitty's archnemesis?" is too obvious to make a poll.

I have been confronting a lot of his ridiculously partisan claims lately but I don't know about archnemisis.  I give up on anything that can only be proven with common sense though (A few thousand voters switch from McCain to Obama because he mispronounced a sports team name slightly).  I get frustrated because instead of responding to your substantive points, he'll just cherrypick one contestable detail and ignore the rest (I used to do debate and that's what bad debaters do), or he'll switch the subject through other means, both observable in the Bradley Effect thread and the Fundraising thread.  And despite hundreds of arguments, apparently he's never been wrong, even when it comes to factual numbers disproving him, where he will again just switch the topic and claim he's right.  It makes it depressing to debate him and I might give up soon.

Also, the Gallup thread is full of rose-colored goggles hilarity.  Every time Obama is up, it's trending McCain, and Obama should be up more.  Every time McCain is up, it's the opposite and he'll argue with anyone that it's not part of the convention bounce.  Any poll that shows something favorable for Obama gets ignored if another poll is available.  And if things are tied, well, it's trending McCain and the Bradley Effect guarantees McCain an extra +1%.

That's my rant, I don't encourage anyone to vote for me and encourage people to not reply and let this thread sink Smiley.  Like I said, I'll probably give up responding to his posts soon.  He's not a bad guy, just solidly partisan when it comes to analysis and NEVER wrong.

I was going to go with "logic", but this is a good answer as well.

I will say Alcon.  Merely because it's so amusing to see the voice of reason engage J.J.

That said, I have to say -- I always enjoyed J.J.'s posts up umtil a month or so ago.  And even now, there are far worse.
