For all the Obama fanatics complaining about this, your guy basically conceded that he's lost the debate as well.

Very erratic.

lowering expectations is a perfectly normal part of the spin cycle. Declaring you've already won a debate that hasn't even happened yet...isn't.

I find it a little funny that anybody who's spent months attacking Obama and his supporters for hubris would defend this with a straight face.
