At least he's not downplaying his performance ahead of the debate like Obama's doing.
How is downplaying your performance worse than saying you won a debate that hasn't happened?
Confidence that he will vs. confidence that he won't. I know which I'd choose. 
Confidence that I would suck and end up charger the moderator and beating him to a pulp to show him how effective I would be with battling international terrorism?
