McCain is crazy negative and lying. Amazing that George W Bush ran an honest campaign in comparison.
More very general and mocking than anything else. He just laughs and dismisses everything.

McCain seems to be talking all the freaking time. Is this really equal time?

At this rate T. Boone Pickens won’t have any energy policy to discuss after the debate. I think McCain may have mentioned energy once, but that’s it.

That's probably a good thing.

Because the lies are much stronger if the truth doesn't get in.

Exactly... Obama has had a lot more specifics... and McCain has been very mocking and almost sarcastic at some points.

Obama has been much more comfortable and more positive.. and a LOT mroe respectful.

Hillary has got to be watching and thinking, “How did I lose to this guy?”

Look, it doesn't matter what us partisans think about the debate.  We've already decided on a candidate.  What matters is how the undecided's and barely decided's judge the performances of Obama and McCain.  We likely won't know that for several days.

McCain's continuing battle with the facts has taken a toll, he's forced to go erratic.

I wonder if being respectful will give Obama an advantage. If I was on that stage I would have probably slapped the smug bastard. Good thing I'm not running.

That (Obama's last spiel) was the highest I've ever seen the meter go.

Obama is trying to end things on a positive note. McCain feels like he can't, I guess.

CNN's group certainly doesn't like it.

Smug is the perfect word for McCain tonight... he doesn't really have any room to be smug.

God, is it possible to be more hackish?  Just chill out and watch the debates.  You knew that this was going to happen and you're just acting shocked so you would be able to besmirch McCain.

That's because all Mccain does is attack. Obama attacked Bush but gave Mccain credit where it was due. MCcain is not doing that.

So how many planes were flying on 9/12/01, John? Not too much oppurtunity for another 9/11 there.

How many times did Obama say: "I agree with him."

It's obvious that he is a follower, not a leader.

McCain is coming off like Al Gore did. Except with less (re: virtually no) facts.

Yes, the truth is hackish.

Hopefully that makes a difference. However, the Republicans were pretty sucessful with claiming that Gore said that he invented the Internet.

Well, Obama does agree with McCain 90% of the time.

Uh, no.
