I did this last week, so I'll do it again this week.  Election Day is Tuesday, September 30, 2008.  Who wins?

Post electoral maps if you please.

There has never been a point when people would actually walk into the voting booths and Obama would be elected, so...

There is no way the American people would screw up and vote for a third George Bush term even if it means electing a black man.

...Except Bush is not running. It's possible for there to be misdirected anger, but it does not make it true.

Than why do you even support Obama if you don't think he can win?

Whether the election was now or in a month and a half, Obama would win with over 300 EV.

Obama would win, I think. It all depends how the voters react to the debate last night. McCain probably did better than this forum thinks.

Obama(R) by a small margin, since I don't think he has a chance in Missouri or Virginia.

Though Opebo does  make a point by making certain states like Ohio go for McCain. Colorado is still a tossup at this point.

I'm sorry but there's no logic whatsoever in that thinking. You can support someone but think that they'll definitely lose. It happens plenty of times.

Indeed.  Look at the 5 votes for Obama (R) in this poll.

Which includes my vote. Then again, it's not exactly the same because I think that that's what would happen this Tuesday, not necessarily on November 4th. But the point is still the same.

Well, we have to see the post-debate polls before I could really answer this question with any assuredness.

But if it were held today, the polls are understating McCain a tad (which has to do with the last couple days) and the undecideds will probably still break towards McCain.

So, Obama +2.5% or so.

We don't know the impact of the debate. Democratic and Republican sources disagree with one another.

Well, I should've thought the answer to this question was obvious - because I agree with his positions more than those of the old white man candidate.

Hell, this McCain's election to lose on Day 50 and now he has a slim chance of winning on Day 40.
