Disagree.  Once the President bombs Iran's nuclear facilities, we'll see him back in the 50's.

I say 52% on January 20, 2009.

Yeah, just after China buys us.

50% of the two survivors = he's the only one to approve; Laura's lost confidence? Wink

20%, maybe lower. I just can't see Bush doing anything competent in the next two years.

January 2009?  Lame ducks always recover at the last minute.  George H.W. Bush's approval got back over 50% after he lost the election.

Since I don't think that can keep going down forever, I'm going to guess 30%, but maybe a "lame duck" boost after the 2008 election like True Democrat suggests.

A simplified tax code, privatized SS/medicare, and tort reform are all popular ideas.

The economy will boom like mad in 2005, 2006, especially if Bush gets reelected.

A simplified tax code, privatized SS/medicare, and tort reform are all popular ideas.

So if he's successful, 56-61%. Smiley

This is hilarious.

20% seems like a reasonable estimate. Some people on some other board thought that was way too high, but I'm sticking with it.

22%, LOL.

A president's success can't be measured by where things are at the day he leaves office. Legacy is more important which nowadays places him around 41%.

Was privatized SS ever popular? I believe it's one of the things that destroyed Goldwater in 64.

Whoever becomes president will probably become the most hated person alive as oil prices will go through the roof.

Effective policing requires to know when backing down is in the best interest of public safety.  By all accounts, the culture of the Ferguson Police was ignorant of that fact, and instead treated Cartman of South Park as a role model for how to be a police officer.

Quote from:  Becoming Female
Suddenly, there was a loud boom. We looked out the window and saw a whole bunch of Death Eaters running into the castle! Umbridge screamed and dropped her teacup on the floor! Lucius burst into the office, along with Fenrir, Bellatrix and Ron.

"How COULD you!" Umbridge shrieked. "I thought we had a deal! We did a pinky swear, remember?"

"I had my fingers crossed behind my back," Lucius explained smugly.

"Damn the loopholes," yelled Umbridge!
