But, taking the bait...

The unrepentant Bill Ayers is truly a horrible person.

Anyone who is voting for Obama yet labels Bill Ayers a HP really should rethink their vote.

HP (normal).

But I don't think that being on an education board with an HP makes you an HP.

Bill who?

Antiwar intellectual radical who took things too far, but has resided into simply being a radical.

Only relevant today because Obama is leading in October.  Smart guy, stupid actions.  "Terrorist" might be appropriate, but I'm not sure if he was trying to cause terror among the civilian population.  Also, fairly prominent figure in Chicago politics, hard to not run into him if you're dealing with Daley, especially if you're dealing with education, doesn't matter if you're GOP or LSD.

Bill Ayers is one of eight 2008-2009 Guests-In-Residence at the Unit One Living/Learning Center, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign!

March 8, 2009 – March 12, 2009
Bill Ayers is a school reform activist and Distinguished Professor of Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is founder of the Center for Youth and Society and founder and co-director of the Small Schools Workshop. He has written extensively about social justice, democracy, and education. His interests focus on the political and cultural contexts of schooling as well as the meaning and ethical purposes of teachers, students, and families. Ayers’ book Fugitive Days recounts his experiences in the Weathermen and the Weather Underground.

This is a repeat visit; he and Bernardine Dohrn were Guests-In-Residence in 2005.

Yes, he's a respected scholar.

FF is pushing it, but "terrorist" is ridiculous.

A terrorist is somebody attempting to create terror, as a means of warfare. There certainly was no RAF-style terror scare over the Weathermen antics, no reason why there should be, and no attempt to create one on their part.

And it's not as if your post added anything to the thread, really. Tongue

The Weathermen were more pathetic, utterly, totally pathetic, than sinister.
