Obama - 48%
McCain - 46%

The Mason-Dixon Florida Poll was conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research, Inc. of Washington, D.C. from October 4 through October 6, 2008. A total of 625 registered voters were interviewed statewide by telephone. All stated they were likely to vote in the November general election.

I have a feeling that if M-D took a national poll, Obama would be up 1-5%.  That said, interesting.

Just today it's reported that the Dems have gotten a 250k registration edge this year, if anyone's interested.

This is nice, actually.  This means Florida is 5-6 points more Republican than the national average.

Mason-Dixon would not Have Obama up 8-9% in the national average if they did national polls.  Remember just a few days ago they had Colorado tied?  Can't compare apples and oranges Tongue  Conversely, Rasmussen which has Obama up 8% nationally, has Obama up 7% in FL.

MD had been showing Obama slightly ahead in Florida when the national race was still pretty close.

M-D apparently believes that nothing has changed in the past few weeks, at least not in Virginia or in Florida. That makes me dubious.

Democrates? Is that one of the Greek philosophers that I didn't hear about when I slept in my Ancient History class?

Anyways, MD seems to be about 2 points too McCain this year, while Rasmussen seems just a bit too friendly to Obama. I think Florida is O+4.5 right now to be exact.
