I doubt the negatives for CSPAN are all that high either, it just lacks recognition.

Goes to show how effectively the "liberal media" myth has been spread.

People believe that all media is automatically biased, even if they know absolutely nothing about it (as the 74 percent who don't trust CSPAN to be fair clearly don't).

But all media is biased.  Even CSPAN.  They are biased by what they chose to put on the air.  It might not be a bad bias or a wrong bias, but everything is biased.

Well... C-Span is controlled and edited by congress. I sure as  don't trust the congressmen and women, or their staffers to tell me what they're up to. Come on.

Completely, utterly incorrect. C-SPAN is directly managed by the National Cable Satellite Corporation, which is controlled by the appointees of cable companies. There is no government oversight at all.

Anyone notice that the percentage of people that trust FOX is roughly equal to Bush's approval rating?

I would say that C-SPAN provides the best coverage, with NPR coming in second.  The BBC is probably better than Fox or MSNBC, which is very pathetic.  A foreign news outlet is better with American elections than American news outlets.

I trust C-SPAN more than any of the television networks.

Theory:
Liberals don't trust C-SPAN because they think it's too conservative and conservatives don't trust C-SPAN because they think it's too liberal.

There is a difference between not trusting a source, and distrusting it. Accepting King's interpretation of the results (I have not seen the wording of the question), they tell us nothing whatsoever about distrust.

EDIT: BTW... since when has C-SPAN provided any form of reporting?

I trust C-Span, NPR, BBC... This is extremely disturbing. C-Span is nothing but live broadcasts of public affairs and people calling into shows with their own opinions that truly know no range. How can that be biased?

One can always count on the American public's opinions to be both hilarious and troubling.
