I'll be pissed if Stevens manages to win this race. The DSCC needs to get Begich across the finish line here!

You need to see if the DSCC can help Stevens lose that trial.  Because, as I have said for months now, that's really all that matters.

I heard Stevens talking to Allen on the radio this morning... I don't know what the legal issues at stake here are, but it doesn't sound good in isolation.

Oh christ. Stevens can't win. Even Republicans don't want to him win. What the hell is wrong with Alaska?

He'll probably be saved by Palin coattails.

Well, I guess that's it, Begich should just pack it up, a guy from Pennsylvania has declared his 1-point deficit in one poll to be insurmountable.

Roll Eyes

I'm just saying that that's my prediction, Harry. I never said it was insurmountable. Begich squandered a great lead and things have been going well for Uncle Ted recently.

Switch Begich and Berkowitz, and we would be asking why Young was so far ahead while Stevens was getting killed.

I am aware the Democratic bench in Alaska consists of three people.

Problem is that Young has pretty much caught up to Berkowitz as well.  Ivan Moore, the Democratic pollster up there, had Young only four points behind Berkowitz in his last iteration.

Yesterday, he said that his latest polling had Palin with a 64-27 approval rating, but said she had the highest disapprovals of her career.  Notably, he wouldn't tell us whether he had polled the Senate and House race, which he normally does with these polls.

That says a lot.

You should have been more patient. Smiley
