In case this wasn't obvious already, I've suspended the launch of this until after the American election. Everything is, though, ready to go.

This is where the Groups shall be organised and kept track of. You may organise yourselves anyway you like; freebie boards are probably a good way if you want records kept of votes and plans and decisions and so on.

Initial group leadership positions will be provisional; all groups must elect leaders as soon as the game starts and must do so again after the elections.

Today it was Floor Six of Birmingham Central Library. Found this amazing survey of housing conditions (and some interesting general descriptions) on three wards that I'm, aha, very interested in. Good stuff. Shame people at train stations don't know how to make a proper cup of tea.

Yes, those places are wonderful. But the only really excellent public library in the area is San Jose State's library, which has limited application.

This is having difficulty getting off the ground, isn't it. I do have an idea...

So, yeah. What will happen is this;

1. P.M's will be sent out to everyone who registered or showed an interest in this and ditto for the City Hall thing even further back. This will be done tomorrow, probably in the morning. Things will be a lot clearer when those are sent out.

2. All existing registrations will be cancelled... sort of. You can, though, choose to continue with your existing stuff and don't have to resubmit anything. In fact I'd encourage you to do that.

3. Registration will continue until there's a reasonable pool of players (what matters isn't so much size as having enough people in the right parts...). Could be talking a week or so, could be a couple of days. Who knows.

4. After initial registration is complete, groups will elect Leaders. And then the first elections will begin...

5. people can register at any point during the game, just to make that clear. All registration deadlines are related to standing in elections.

I have decided to make one minor change to the rules today; the Lord Mayor gets a seat on every committee. This mirrors what was actually the case in Birmingham during this period (a legacy of Chamberlain the First, basically) and makes the role more interesting.
