At first I thought ARG's numbers were backwards.

Nevertheless, WV is one of the states if Obama wins it, it's total annihilation for McCain in the 400+ category.

That almost sort of made sense until I got to West Virginia.

As always, ARG:  putting the "dump" in "poll dump"
Actually, I would venture a guess that Minnesota may well be off by more. Not saying it is, but I wouldn't rule it out.

The others are pretty sensible.

I think that in this national climate, Obama +6 or so, and the economy this much in the tank, Obama has a chance to win West Virginia.

I don't think he's up in WV by 8 points, but I do think this state will surprise us on election day.

WV's economy has always been crap, newsflash.  It doesn't stop them from voting GOP.

Yes it does. WV rarely votes GOP. 2000 and 2004 = the exception, not the rule.

I guess it's just tough for me to picture an Obama victory in the state.  Oh well.

I just remember the man on the street interviews when Obama was butchered in the primary, and find myself unable to conceive of an Obama victory in WV. I would not be surprised if Obama fails to carry registered Democrats in WV.
