it's a world turned upside down
where a tool becomes a crown
it's a world where black is white
and what's left becomes the right
it's all mixed up
all turned around
where no sense is made
where silence is a sound
it makes no sense
guilt's innocence
where back is forth
and south is north
the opposite
where pure is tit
confusion looms
the stoplight zooms
the truth is lie
accuser's alibi
"i've seen it all" the blind man says
the citizen is the country's Pres.
where soft is hard
and muscle, lard
man is girl
to eat is hurl
i've been a friend
but enemy
i tried to help
but will they see
i was the judas
i was the brutus
i stabbed the back
i lost the trust
with love's deep knife
oh did i thrust
tis all the future
but yet the past
how long will the paradox last?
will soon find out the truth?
maybe
or stuck forever until i see
the end is near
but just the start
in hope and fear
i clutch my heart

I really liked it. I opened the thread to read it, but figured I wouldn't post because I try to only post positive comments, but then was pleased to find I really liked it. Really good!

I figured people might not get that line, but I couldn't think of anything else to go there.  An old definition of tit was a flirtatious girl or a "young hussy."

It's conservative - it conformed to existing belief, the status quo, it wasn't revolutionary. Either art isn't exclusively revolutionary or the roof of the Sistine Chapel isn't artwork.

I missed the whole point of why conservatives can't be creative.  This has nothing to do with preserving the status quo but simply putting my current feelings into writing in a way other than writing a diary or something.
