Wow. 1984?

I wouldn't mind that, really. It'll position the NDP well for next year's election.

Really? 8 Bloc seats.

NDP behind in Parkdale. Looks like two seats in Toronto.

Block ahead in SRB. I know I've complained enough about the boundaries in Saskatchewan over the years, but this year it just looks obscene.

My god. When are boundaries redrawn? IIRC, Tommy Douglas never did get elected from Saskatchwan with the NDP.

The Strathcona call is pretty ludicrous at this point. CBC refuses to retract its call.

They dropped the Strathcona call now that the NDP are narrowly ahead there. A lot of polls left.

Wonderful. 'Twould be a minor miracle if the NDP were to win a seat in Alberta. It's already been a very good night.

Is Jaffer the only Muslim MP?

Map:

Based on the maps Earl puts on Wikipedia.

When the Liberals lose Ontario, you know it's bad.

York Centre has turned marginal. Do not adjust your screens, they're fine.

If Rae is elected leader, how much do NDP numbers in Ontario jump?

Canadian elections are so depressing. 4 left of center parties against 1 right of center party in a FPTP system is fail.

I know it's sad, but how bad can Canadian conservatives be?

The PCs were quite all right. But Alberta runs the Conservatives of today.

Final results in Ottawa-Vanier

Liberal 46.23 (+3.92)
Conservative 27.26 (-1.41)
NDP 17.07 (-4.74)
Greenies 8.57 (+1.97)
Indie 0.44 (+0.44)
Stalinists 0.25 (+0.04)
SoCred 0.19 (+0.19)

SoCred?

For real?

EDIT: Ah. Canadian Action.

Why isn't there a Bloc Right and a Bloc Left?

If Canada were to use IRV, that'd make sense.

Which Liberal leader is the least charimsmatic? I'll root for him.

Greens? Left of NDP?

Are you on crack?

No, but the Greens are really just the Liberals rebranded. They're well to the right of the NDP.

Bigger version is in the gallery, etc.

Work underway on party vote maps.

Are the territories anywhere on that map?

Great spreadsheet there. Very interesting. Also, I see you're a roadgeek. Wonderful!
