If Obama wins next month, who on the forum will be the first to spout off with a stolen election conspiracy?

If McCain wins next month, same question...

If McCain wins without a dramatic change in the momentum of the race, as in he wins out of the blue in a Truman like fashion, I'll be the first one connecting the dots.

I don't think Republicans will claim stolen election, that's more of a Dem thing.  When McCain wins I'll say Jfern or ChrisFromNJ is first

You're right. We only make the claims when they're true.

Didn't they find votes in a garage or something? Yeah, that sounds realistic.

Votes were found, including one of a King county councilman -- who I'm reasonably sure probably voted.  There were widespread f'ups, inappropriate votes, but there wasn't really any indication of organized fraud.  King County wasn't even the worst offender vote total-wise, they just had the flashiest screw-ups.

In a perfect election, would Rossi have won?  Quite possibly, even probably.  Was it stolen?  Probably not, IMHO.

Not sure about garage, maybe elections storage facility?  Either way, they were pretty clearly valid votes.  I doubt they were making it up.  That means the whole affair was a massive bout of incompetence, but I wouldn't call it corrupt.  I know you're used to Philadelphia and all, but here, stuff like that is usually a real accident.  Tongue

Plus, I mean, they provided a list of the voters whose ballots they were...

Yeah - the question should have been framed along the lines of (for a Democrat win) "Will Prophetman claim that the anti-christ has been handed the reigns of power?"

I remember the votes showing up in a really random area.

I seem to recall them being behind a garbage can or something. They had misplaced a box of ballots somewhere. You could be right though.

The important part is that King County wasn't a case of fraud - it was just a case of massive, overwhelming incompetence.

Well, I guess that would be funny if I actually watched FOX News/wasn't known for disliking FOX (and stating my criticism of the channel).  Tongue

LOLZ.

There won't be any fulmination about Chicago machine politics, ACORN, Move On or paying homeless people to vote with crack?

Please -- get a grip.

The ACORN thing is not claiming the election was stolen, that is preemptive, if we waited til after the eleciton and then complained that would be an issue.  MoveOn certainly can't stil an election, there are not even relevant anymore

If I recall correctly, the votes were found in a basement, not a garage.

Oh, ok, good. Thank God. My faith in the system has been restored.
