This is one where a suicide option is necessary.

With two choices this good, I must resort to hackery for an answer.

Ugh.... they both had positives and negatives.

Lincoln
- Emancipation (something he CAME to believe in)
- Held the Union together - and did not intend retribution for the Confederacy (more luck)

Negatives
- Suspending habeus corpus

Roosevelt
- the New Deal (which was more social development to aid in economic recovery)
- not running away from Hitler or Japan

Negatives
- Unconsitutional stacking of the Supreme Court.
- Questions over true effectiveness of the New Deal.

.....I can't pick.

- Unconsitutional stacking of the Supreme Court.

Huh

Have you read the Constitution? It wasn't in any way unconstitutional. The size of the Supreme Court is regulated by Congress, and not set.

I've got to go local on this one. Plus its only 4 months until Lincoln's 200th birthday.

Yes. Would I rather have a racist that killed and imprisoned Americans (Northern and Southern alike), or a fascist who robbed gold and befriended a mass murderer?

Love them or hate them, these two are pretty much unquestionably the most important figures in American history.

As unfortunate as it is, it is true.

Nope. FDR is making a comeback. You better lock the voting if it's over.
