If I was going to write in any of the Weathermen though, it'd be Mark Rudd.

An interesting idea. I'm sure there is at least one miserable local Republican getting a free pass this election because of the inability of the Texas Democratic Party to field good candidates (or in this instance, candidates at all).

I was thinking that the best thing to could happen for Obama right now would be for Ayers and Wright to run on a third-party ticket. That way, he could get the guilt by association the right-wing media is giving him.

Would you write-in Guy Picciotto over an unopposed Republican?

Since Fugazi's on indefinite hiatus, he's got the time, right?

True, but it's more a comment as to how hated Picciotto is here for being the guy who basically started emo.

I found the perfect race, a Supreme Court seat. I voted for the incumbent in the primary due to her ultra-Scandinavian name. Unfortunately she's turned out to be a right wing Pawlenty appointee. And her runoff opponent is an even further right wing Bachmann-type homophobe.

Perfect race for a protest vote.

What a crappy race. And in Minnesota, too.

It's a nonpartisan judicial election, which incumbents almost always win. Add in a very helpful Scandinavian name, and a candidate who has an organized group of fundie backers in a race no one else knows about, and there you go.
