Is it my imagination or are we seeing a lot more Hoosier participation here in the forum?  For the longest time, the only people I noted from my state were Beef and Pragmatic Liberal.  Seems like a lot more.

Any with blue avatars?  I know you're out there....

I know.  I was wondering who the rest of my fellow Hoosiers and Hoosier-ettes were.

Yeah, I've noticed another Red Indiana avatar recently that seems to come up more frequently than previously or is new to the forum (I foget who though). I always think it's you posting, so I prepare to sit up and take note.

So the name "East Illinois" never took?  It looks much better.  Is your motto still "the Gateway to God's Country"?  How does it feel to be more forgetable than Iowa?

(I'm just giving you sh**t.  You're much better than Michigan.  How many states can brag of a Christmas themed theme park?)

But Michigan has Frankenmuth...which is heaven for Yule-ophiles.

Meh -- you can't insult Indiana and offend me.  I am not a fan, it's just the place I hang my hat.

As to state mottoes, under Governor Bob Orr, Indiana adopted a one word phrase for its tourist appeal.  It was even stamped on the license plates.  "Wander".  Ah yes, the old "Wander Indiana" campaign.  What a smashing success.  It inspires so much...errrrrr....senseless movement.

Still not the worst advertising appeal I have seen.  There's a used car dealership near us called "Vegas Motor Sales".  And on their sign, a pair of rolling dice.  Now just put that in your pipe and smoke it...

Growing up, kids in my area always sned at a used car dealership nearby owned by Mike Hunt. Not a name you want to say too quickly.
