I never realized this until now, but no. Never. At least not in general elections. And it'll be true after this election too. Weird...

Ballot initiatives, though, yes.

The only time I've ever voted so far was in the 2008 Georgia Republican Primaries. I went against my precinct on District Attorney, Superior Court clerk, Public Services Commissioner, and all three ballot questions.

Basically every time I've voted. And I'm registered Republican in a heavily Republican precinct.

less so than elections themselves, but yes.

2006 federal, 2006 city council (mayor candidate won the precinct, lost the election), 2007 provincial. I am pretty sure Paul Dewar won this precinct this year.

If I had voted, it would've been for Greenies and they obviously didn't win in my poll.

Probably, especially in local city council elections, which are non-partisan. I've never checked though (and wouldn't want to).

My precinct is the most liberal in the town.  There are about 1,500 people and a large majority of that comes from a big apartment building by train tracks

Unfortunately, until I relocate to North Austin...that's the way it's going to be virtually every time I vote. I believe Bush took over 60% in precinct 365 in 2004. It's the old, rich, white person end of town...what can you really expect?

Yes, but there may have never been a Democratic nominee that lost a precinct that I voted in.

Yeah, but we North Austinites don't get to be in Doggett's district. It's a trade-off. Tongue

Perhaps, but I have to say: With all the respect and admiration I have for Lloyd Doggett, I would much rather put up with Lamar Smith and live in the culturally superior end of town.
