I wonder what if early voting is messing with the polls numbers? Or did Rasy still put the early voters in the poll?

I'll see if theres anything in the internals about early voting.

I was wondering if McCain would reopen a lead here.  I still think Obama could win, but its very much up in the air.  It'll probably be very close, possibly the closest state in the election:

NORTH CAROLINA PRESIDENT -
49% (D) Obama
48% (R) McCain
  2% Others

NORTH CAROLINA SENATE -
51% (D) Hagan
48% (R) Dole

Ouch. North Carolina is not an essential state, but I'd really like to win there.

Nope, nothing there about early voting. I too would like to see what the margins are there.

Hmm, I don't know. I'm not to worried, because Obama doesn't need NC, but I would love for him to win it.

Ras says McCain leads by 17 among unaffiliated voters. I don't believe that margin.

Well, that's kind of lame. I still see Obama winning it though.

Hmm, maybe an outlier? I'm not sure, but we will see in 11 days.

Seems a bit robust, but not a total shocker for NC.

Their last poll had Obama winning unaffiliateds 57-40. This poll has McCain winning unaffilateds (gah, how do you spell that word) 57-40. 34-point swing!!!!

I have currently no clue what's going on in this state. Even Rasmussen can have a bad poll once in a while. With Obama up 7 nationally, this result is just strange. But we'll see ...

Yeah, I see McCain winning very narrowly in the Tar Heel state. Hagan wins the senators race probably by 4-5% .

I still think Obama will win, but who know McCain could hold NC.

Well, this is North Carolina. This was probably to be expected. McCain will probably pull it off, but as long as we stay ahead in CO and VA, we are golden. They must be our rocks.

It looks like the attention that McCain has finally given to FL and NC is being picked up in this week's Rasmussen polls.  Obama is no longer campaigning there unopposed.  Hopefully we'll see similar results in CO and VA, but I doubt it.

Trust me McCain isn't going to win NC.
