Will Jindal win reelection in 2016 and who will the Dem Prez and VP candidates be?

Hey, might as well keep the ridiculousness going even further, and create a thread we can bump in 8 years and laugh at.

Jindal/Romney lose re-election to a ticket of Al Gore and Cory Booker.

I bet the 70-something year old Al Gore will be even more irritating than he is now.

Guessing that Jindal will be the nominee in 2012 is chancy enough, speculating on how'd he do in Obama is ridiculous considering the fast speed of American politics in our time of crisis.

1) A non-white won't be able to win a GOP nomination in 2012.

2) He is on the extreme far right on social issues, so much so that I can't see him winning a general election, let alone one against Obama.

Uh, the people seem to have no problem electing a guy this year who is in favor of infanticide.  It doesn't get further left then that.

As long as someone looks nice and moderate and can explain their way out of their position, they will be fine.

1) Why can't a non-white win the nomination?  I didn't want to believe it, but do the Democrats really view the GOP as a bunch of racists?

2) America is a center-right country, and more conducive to a far-right candidate than a far-left candidate.  An Obama victory would never be possible without the anti-Bush backlash and the credit crisis hitting us with weeks to go before the election.

If Warner wanted to be President, he would've ran this year instead of running for Senate, IMO.

No, it was better for him to wait; he wouldn't have been able to compete with Hillary and Obama.

What makes you say that?  He'd be a far stronger candidate than Obama.  And if Obama could  beat Hillary, why couldn't Warner?

He'd be overshadowed by the rockstars.  In a Warner v. Hillary race, Warner should win, but he couldn't compete with Obama, even though he's a better candidate.

Yeah, Hillary was already dubbed the nominee years ago and Obama was about as suddenly popular as a fresh face could get. At least 90% of the country had no idea Warner even exists, so he couldn't compete with that name recognition and branded appeal of the other two even if he is a stronger candidate.

Has there ever been a ticket with two candidates from the same state? Other than that, it does seem unbeatable.  Southern Democrats usually run well at the national level.

I had no idea Webb was 62 though.  He looks 10-20 years younger.

One of them would have to switch home-states.

Don't let that pesky Constitution get in the way!  Bush/Cheney '08!

I think Warner/Schweitzer would be my betting ticket, but whatevsky.

Oh I forgot about the Bush/Cheney issue.  Yeah, they could easily get around it, though it'd be more obvious since their Virginian status is more well known than Cheney's Texan status was.
