New Poll: Minnesota Senator by Other Source on 2008-10-23

Summary: D: 27%, R: 36%, U: 21%

Poll Source URL: Full Poll Details

Meanwhile, the U.S. Senate race continues to display the volatility seen in polls throughout the season. After earlier surveys showed DFL challenger Al Franken with an edge, the SCSU poll shows Republican U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman leading with 36 percent, compared with 27 percent for Franken. Independence Party candidate Dean Barkley trails with 16 percent.

36-27-16 seems a bit off

21% undecided seems more than a bit high

My question isn't really related to this poll, which is probably trash, but what counties could Barkley possibly win?

The poll is clearly crap, but it still has to be entered.

None. He has no regionalized support or following in any particular county unlike Tim Penny.

A good question would be his best county. I'll predict his home county of Wright, or maybe nearby Stearns since the part he's from has more in common with that than Wright itself.

Is this the same poll that gave Obama just a 42%-37% lead in the state?
