I couldn't disagree more strongly...

(If for no other reason than the athletes are better and the NFL is far easier to follow)

Absolutely disagree. It's the other way around for basketball though.

Only those divisions that have playoff systems can even come close to the NFL. The rest are just pointless seasons with no true national champion.

Super agree.

NFL seems so artificial.  NFL players are chosen like a grade-school kickball team.  In college football, you have more uniqueness tying the players and thus the team together.

Disagree, not even close.  Maybe if college football had some kind of playoff system instead of the idiot way they do it now.  It's a big joke as it is.

Agree, but only because the only football team I could give a flying f**k about is a college team. (GaTech Yellow Jackets, my alma mater) Otherwise as far as I'm concerned football can go straight to hell with most other sports.

Ah, idk.  I used to think so, but fantasy football is so much fun Smiley

For basketball, however, its not a question

Strongly Agree.  I watch the Saints on tv some, but who really cares?  An NFL team can lose a third of their games, and still be the champions.  Losses just don't matter in the NFL.  Why get emotional over them?  Every time MSU loses, it's like a knife through my heart, and we're not even close to a national title contender.  I can't even imagine how Ohio State fans felt last night.

The NFL is a bunch of overpaid babies who don't even care if they win or lose because it doesn't matter.

So Harry, I'll put this in a way you will listen to and understand. So if every team in the SEC lost a game and 2 teams from other conferences who were undefeated and clearly worse got in that would be ok and one of them would be the national champion when if they had a playoff system they were almost sure to lose and the better team would have the championship?

I support a playoff 100%.  In fact, I wrote a column about that Friday in the MSU student newspaper:
http://media.www.reflector-online.com/media/storage/paper938/news/2008/10/24/Sports/Enough.Is.Enough.Bcs.Its.Time.For.A.Playoff-3504165.shtml

However, I still find college football much more exciting anyway.  The playoff would just make it even moreso.

My school has been MAC champions 2 years in a row.  My NFL team is the Detroit Lions.  Take a guess at which one I like.
