Candidate? Probably Gilmore, who just comes across as a dofus. Alan Keyes is certainly the worse of the two politically though.

I'd say Keyes. Gilmore's campaign is at least on-message, as it's been entirely based on the sentence "Mark Warner said he wouldn't raise taxes but he did!".

Keyes, easily.  Gilmore at least at one time was electable and is not just making up crap to get attention.

Obviously Keyes.

And the IL GOP actually went out of state to get the guy, too. Wow.

You don't understand how hard the IL GOP works to lose.  It doesn't just come naturally.

Gilmore is worse. He's boring and has done diddly squat of interest. However, anything involving Alan Keyes is pure comedy gold, so you've gotta say he's the better candidate Tongue

I don't understand how anyone can say Gilmore was the worse candidate unless they're totally ignorant of the kind of campaign Keyes ran.

I don't think Keyes is a loser who lost at life, unlike Gilmore.

Gilmore wasn't theoretically a sacrificial lamb, simply fighting a hard race

Wasn't Keyes the one who kicked his daughter out onto the street while running for Senate on a family values campaign [qm]

Jim Gilmore is the worst candidate to ever run for anything, ever.  I'm ashamed to say that he's from Virginia.

Well, she was a lesbian, so obviously there was a good reason for it.

Keyes also advanced to the general election on the backing of fewer than twenty people.  Most win primaries, contested or not.
