The New York Times:

In interviews, Mr. Obama was modest and careful. (In a rare slip, he told The Associated Press: “I’m not interested in the suburbs. The suburbs bore me.”)

We've had a thread on this, and I could actually be Barack Obama.

Everyone who doesn't live in suburbs hates suburbs, as well as half the people who live in suburbs.

It seems like Lief's posts sometimes have a sexual tint to them. I've definitely seen references to spanking more than once.

I don't hate suburbs.  Just cul-de-sacs.

I dunno....suburbs are a good place for young professionals like myself to gain a reputation and start a family. Maybe a move into a nice city might be in my cards when Lily (and any other future kid is old enough) and when I have a good enough reputation to afford a 2-bedroom condo in a high-rise.

the result is a sense that we were told to attend a lavish dinner party that was going to be wonderful and by the time we got there, all the lobster and steak had been eaten, a fight had broken out, the police had been called and all that was left was warm beer and chips.
