A Navy F-18 ta was attempting to land at a base in the Virginia Beach area of VA(the 2nd largest population area in the state) crashed into a cluster of apartment buildings trying to do so. The pilots managed to eject in time, and there have been no reports of fatalities. Although there is reports that quite a few people have been injured by the crash of the F-18.

This is pretty scary for me given how I often have the planes overfly me when I've been vacationing down in VA Beach. In addition, I also live in the international flight path of a major intercontinental airport, where the airliners can often get very low to the ground(often only a few hundred feet up from my house). So this hits home for me personally.

I'm amazed there have been no reports of any deaths on the ground, that apartment complex was totally effed up.  Speedy recovery to those injured.
