The ultimate me vs. Phil poll basically, and no real option for the suburb lovers!

Philly. A lot of my friends are from there, there's more to do, and it's relatively close by. In fact there's a good chance that I'll move there in a few years.

You must remember that apparently NE Philly is really racist. If it's as racist as Phil claims it's a disgusting hellhole.

I was going to make this poll earlier! Wow!

Certain parts are very racist and rather open about it. There are certainly very tolerant areas.

Is uptown where you live BRTD?  You make it sound like where you live is a hell hole. I would live around the lake near Edina of course. Smiley

This is what's usually referred to as Uptown, though inaccurately since Uptown is really just a commercial district:

I live in that neighborhood to the east that looks like a square with someone ripping off a portion of the lower right corner. Even though the neighborhood "officially" isn't in the Calhoun Isles community (above on the map), it has more in common with it than Powderhorn, the community it is in (and Uptown is even more easily accessible than most of Powderhorn.) We're kind of an "orphan" neighborhood not really fitting into any general Minneapolis region, but most people agree we fit best in with Uptown.

BTW I think we have the highest population of any neighborhood in the city, and that little sliver to the north of us has the highest population density.

Here is a cool map for your BRTD.  I guess you live in Whittier. Hey, that is the place Nixon went to college. Smiley

Yes. You can see how poorly we fit in our community. Looks like a gerrymandered congressional district.

The actual Uptown district is in East Isles.

Hey, that is the place Nixon went to college. Smiley

Option 2 and thanks for insulting me BRTD.

For the most part we're not that bad, but I get a stronger sense of racism amongst older people in the area both Dem and Rep because like I said before, they had to deal with a lot more tension when they were growing up and mostly grew up in neighborhoods that are mow pretty much all minority now.  And yes, if you were one of the last whites remaining, the minorities let it be known you weren't welcome to stay there.  Again, not as bad with it now (hell J.J. lives in the heart of North Philly), but racism all around was very much the norm.  I was once told by a black co-worker that her grandfather hated whites with a passion.  I still notice some racism when dealing with certain branches of the government how differently a black person treats black customers as opposed to whites and vice versa.

Minneapolis... it's more progressive.  And there's plenty to do in Minneapolis... the number of theater tickets sold per capita in Minneapolis are second only to New York City.  And people are actually nice...

I wasn't trying to insult you, just the racists in NE Philly. And mostly a swipe at Phil at how he seems to be proud basically of his area's racism.

More trolling. You continue to spread lies even after I speak out against the racism/the silly idea that I'm proud of it. I hope the moderators grow a spine and warn you for the slander.

Philly. The Twin Cities are too damn cold, and remote from it all.

Would you rather have the racism disappear from your area and Obama wins it easily or it stays racist and McCain wins? I think I know the answer...

Preferably neither but I'll go with Minn. The people in Philly would piss me off to much to live there.

You're one to talk. Remember primary season and your absolute joy over "Anti Hispanic" racism? You were cheering it on at a disturbing level yet you want to lecture me about racism? Get a clue.
