Nowhere.

There are plenty of places lefties can go if they want to vote with their feet.  There is no other country with policies (constitutional protections, free market, traditional values) that would appeal to conservatives.

Actually, what about Ireland?

One of the few countries with a higher GDP per capita than the US, low corporate tax rates, rather traditional social values, all around nice place.

Just suffering from the hangover of a really long credit-driven boom...

Sounds like another country I might have heard of somewhere. Although in fact Poland is probably a better bet for these sorts of people anyway.

Estonia would be even better right?  But either place is to close to MotherRussia for any hard righty to go to, unless they want to help "bring the fight" or something over the top insane like that.

Well, at least those guys are (nominally) Lutheran. Not sure about observance, though (and many Russians, who are worse than papists, or even are Communist). And then, he'd have to pass a language exam even to work as a plumber - and that's an attrociously hard language to learn.

Suggestions, anyone?  I will take up a collection if he actually agrees to leave...

Singapore? South Korea?

Singapore would be my first choice if I ever had to leave the US (as I've stated numerous times in the past).

Its a very dull place, though I have to admit it does tolerate a fair amount of prostitution.

Mexico sounds like a great place for rednecks to go once they've been run out of the U.S. Hell, most Russians hate women and gays....they are non-Chrisitan papists and have a 12% flat tax.

So, maybe a list-

Russia
Belarus
Mexico- Columbia is a good bet too, if he doesn't mind brown catholics. He can kill himself some commies there, too.
The Bahamas
Poland
Ukraine?

That's all that I can think of at the moment that are anti-papal Christian nations (though Mexico is Catholic, its real close) that are really greedy.

Costa Rica has a very large American ex-Pat population (I believe the highest of any nation by percentage of total population).  Hell, that's where Toby went and broke his neck before ever even getting to the beach.

He can always found a colony in the Amazonian jungle. Some Confederate veterans tried that way back then.

Philippines is good, for obvious reasons (feminine ones).  South Korea is a nightmarish place.  They really hate foreigners (well, all asian nations hate foreigners, but they show it), and they've shut down their fun industry almost completely over the last 3-5 years.

Singapore is a horrible place from all things I've heard. But it would probably suit most of the people referred to here.

What do you mean?  It's fantastic down there.  Spent a whole week there while our ship was being overhauled.  In many ways, it's like an asian version of Manhattan.

*  Because Obama has a plan to put Christians in concentration camps where they will be
"re-educated".

Having just been hired by the Obama Transition Team as a Gitmo guard, I can confirm this rumor to be 100% accurate.

Phase One will be much like the Chinese reeducation camps during the Cultural Revolution. Phase Two, after you've been converted and reeducated, will be much like Al Qaeda's old Afghan training camps.

Slate did a story on this question:

http://www.slate.com/id/2202070/

Leading options seemed to be Israel, Poland, and the Cayman Islands.

Well, today a business associate of mine was on the phone with me...

You know, JSJ, for someone who constantly gripes about "nutters", you sure seem to have a lot of them in your life (family, friends, business associates).  Did you ever think that, maybe, just maybe, you're just one nut complaining about all the other nuts in the can?

My thoughts exactly...

Except JSJ is one of those coveted cashews that they never put enough of in there so you're constantly digging around all the other substandard nuts looking for the cashews... only to find one.. but alas, it has been split in half.  And that's just not enough cashew.

From experience, Singapore's a pretty nice city to visit. But I'd never live there, because of the government and weather.

No, but being Jewish means you automatically get citizenship.

Quite tempting actually Cheesy

My Chris actually thought I was Jewish when he met me for reasons he's not really explained!

I've got an aunt on my Mom's side that converted when I was a kid and my Mom always said she did it because she wanted to be rich...and since all Jews are rich... Roll Eyes

Of course last Summer I learned my Mom was under the assumption Obama was a Muslim so I'm not sure how much I can trust her when it comes to matters of religion.
