Dole?  Keeping alive one of the most ineffective senators in the country?  If I was you I'd have done all of that to Coleman.  Smith is caught between a rock and a hard place and is forced to run TV ads accusing his Constitution Party opponent as a big-spending liberal.

Meh.

Obama - 15$ because I wanted a car magnet and to see how his campaign pleas "adjusted" to my donation.  It only adjusted by saying if I give 30$ more I could get a T-shirt.  If I had the money, I'd be tempted to rack that up for each present to see what $2,300 would get me.  An Biden autograph? Hah.

If I wasn't working three jobs + being a full time student already, I'd probably give money to Charlie Brown in CA-04.

I just want the GOP deficit in congress to be as low as possible.  Elizabeth Dole isn't my favorite political figure, but I favor her principles over Kay Hagan's.

I truly like Gordon Smith and Norm Coleman, however, and my donation to them wasn't just a "lesser of two evils" deal.

I like Coleman on a personal level and he shows himself to be incredibly competent by running a great up-hill campaign.  He got fortunate with his opponent of course.

To me, Smith and Merkley are two unknowns.  Smith took a gamble by going hard-left in his reelection campaign, bragging endlessly about his support for liberal issues and associating himself with various liberal senators.  Of course, this might be a bad idea in the state with the most powerful local Constitution Party in the country (or thereabouts).  So I like that Smith is moderate, but I'm highly suspicious since it only started truly happening about the time that his election became competitive.

While Merkley seems like an ok guy to me.  No worse than the average Democrat.

I won't be sad if Smith wins though, mostly because I think it'd be funny to have three Udalls in the Senate (Smith claims he's the "smart Udall").

Besides, why would you donate to an old bat like Dole?  She's going to retire soon, thus it gives you a worse return on your investment.  And her campaign has just gotten sketch with this latest "Godless" theme...  But I guess that is a recent development.

I know nothing of Hagan, though.

For the second time, to keep the Democrats as far away from 60 seats as possible.

All I know is that you have to watch your back around him.

Anyway, to accuse a Sunday School Teacher and regular churchgoer as an instrument of the atheist agenda is kind of offensive.

I donated $25 to Bob Casey just to elicit a reaction out of Keystone Phil.

Because you are a pig.

Anyway, I don't donate money to candidates/political causes.

Ronnie, I can understand donating some money to a candidate but over $1,000? You must be wealthy.  Tongue

2008:

Leslie Byrne - $25
Glenn Nye - $25
Barack Obama - $25
El Tinklenberg - $10
Mark Warner - $25

My boyfriend has also given $25 to Kay Hagan and has donated both to Hillary and Obama, which is relevant since it all comes out of the same place anyway.

2006:

Phil Kellam - $20
Jon Tester - $25
Jim Webb - $35

This is actually the year where I have donated least to political candidates.  Here's who I donated to in '04/'06.  *I may be missing out a few people/be slightly off, since this is just off of the top of my head:

2004:
George Bush: $2000
RNC: 1000$

2006:

RNC: $800
George Allen: $1000
Rick Santorum: $500 or $800 -- I forget
John Kyl: $100
