Like Obama's aunt, non issue. Potential sympathy if this thing is exploited if anything.

These Quebecois humourists do this quite often. They did it on Harper, Sarkozy, and a few others.

that was painful to listen to and a bit cruel. But shouldn't her team have been more careful?

How the hell do they manage to convince her staffers that the President of France is on the line?

Sounds staged to me.

Either way, nothing of consequence in it.

hah. I also found it weird that she basically regurgitated some of her campaign stump drivel to "Sarkozy." You'd think Palin [or any politician] would cut the bullsh**t in a private conversation with a powerful foreign leader.

Johnny Hallyday is way funnier if you know him.

It would be even funnier if he talked about his wife Segolene.

The idea of Sarkozy hunting is pretty amusing.

Do any French politicians (outside of CPNT) hunt?

Why should the President of France bother to phone a vice presidential candidate who isn't even elected yet (and probably never will)?

Biden would make slightly more sense, since he's a) chairman of the foreign relations committe and b) will probably get elected vice president. But then again... Biden would have most likely recognized it as a prank call (or at least I hope so). So they went for Palin.

Btw, did this conservation happen to include the issue of fruit fly research in Paris, France?

It wasn't very funnier but I'm surprised she fell for it.

Philippe de Villiers is the most likely one outside of the CPNT to probably hunt. Not sure, though, but he seems like a hunter to me.
