1. Presidential Race: McCain/Palin (R) v Obama/Biden (D)

2. MN U.S. Senate Race: Coleman (R) v. Franken (D) v. Barkley (I)

3. WA Gubernatorial Race: Gregoire (D) v. Rossi (R)

4. NC U.S. Senate Race: Dole (R) v. Hagan (D)

5. NY-20: Gillibrand (D) v Treadwell (R)

Honorable Mention: MN-6, GA Senate, OR Senate, AK Senate, Prop 8, Prop K

There are others I'll be watching closely as well, but those are the most important of all to me.

1) Presidential race

2) WA Gubernatorial race

3) A local race for State Representative

4) MN U.S. Senate race

5) PA 11 and 12 U.S. House races

There are a bunch of others that I'll be following (basically all of the hot U.S. Senate races and state legislative races here in PA) but those five are the most important.

The Presidency, the Minnesota Senate Race and the "Will the Democrats get 60 (or perhaps more importantly 61, given Lieberman) senate seats" race.

Other than that they are just blurs for this foreign person.

For me, it's easier to say what states I'm most looking forward to seeing the results from.

1. New Jersey (esp. NJ-03; NJ-07)
2. North Carolina (esp. NC-Pres; NC-Sen)
3. Washington (WA-Gov)
4. Pennsylvania (esp. PA-Pres; PA-11)
5. New Hampshire (esp. NH-01; NH-Sen)

Honorable mention to Prop. 8 and the sundry races around Massachusetts.

1. President

2. PA-170. State House.  I think Brendan Boyle will finally get elected!

3.  GA Senate- Want to see Chambliss toppled.  Max Cleland revenge!

4.  PA 11-  Looking for a Kanjorski hold.

5.  PA 12-  Eye on Murtha.  This one could flip.

Side note:  I will be looking for shifts in NE Philly votes after the election.

I'm a lot more interested in the results than the outcome, in every case.  I mean, I listed President, and who's really more likely to win -- Smith or McCain?  Smith barely, maybe, only because of the slightly greater chance of historically stunning ridiculously bad polling.
