I'd love to see him lose.

I read somewhere that internals have Obama winning this district... is that possible?

Both this and Kanjorski don't look unreasonable to me.  SUSA was very good at the CD polling game in 2006.

Unless there's something in addition to this link, there's no Prez horserace call.

Sorry, by "internals" I meant polling done by the campaigns, specifically the McCain campaign (because an Obama internal "leaking" that result wouldn't have been noteworthy.)

Didn't something just come out about some erotic film being filmed in his office?

Ad flyers were faxed out of his office, and his fax number was used for stuff to be faxed in. I don't think anyone is claiming Goode knew about any of this.

It wasn't even an erotic film. This has to win the mountain-out-of-a-molehill award for 2008, even if you take paranoia about association with Teh Gay in some districts at face value.

Whatever happened to VA-2, do the Democrats have a chance there?

Nye will probably win 47-48% of the vote, due to the fact that Drake is such an empty suit and it's a strong Democratic year, but I think Obama would have to win the district by 3-4 points for her to lose.

My grandparents bought a home in this District a year ago and loved the place so much (Smith Mt. Lake and Moneta) that they decided to retire their permanently. Goode should survive unless Western Virginia swings Obama by a much larger margin than thought.

In case your unfamiliar Tom Perriello his opponent is a 1st timer and uh... rather single. Doesn't translate well for votes in the area. If Goode were to lose Obama would be on the way to quite the landslide, and the state itself would be very blue for a while to come.
