I can't believe that Bachmann survived. I was certain that she was dead meat. Sad

McClintock leads by 456 votes now. I think he'll probably win at this point.

Hahahahah.  I think a lot of people were thinking the same thing two years ago when she beat Wetterling.

I thought she would win in 2006, but that SUSA poll that had her up 1 & Obama up 3 convinced me that she was finished. I guess that poll was terrible in more ways than one. Wink

I'm kind of happy that McClintock won. I felt bad for him after he lost the Lt. Governor's race to Garamendi in 2006. I don't know why though. Tongue

I can't believe that Stevens & Young both won. The polls lied to me! Angry

Anyway, AK is one of those states like LA & NJ where being corrupt gets you more votes, not fewer. Wink

Also, Coleman's leading by 676 votes now. As far as I can tell, only Cass & St. Louis counties have anything left to report.

Cass is 97% in, with Coleman leading 7,500-5,800-2,400. St. Louis is 99% in, with Franken leading 64,000-38,000-14,000. Assuming that the remaining precincts vote the county average & are average in size for the county (Tongue), Franken picks up 229 votes.

Obviously those aren't scientifically valid assumptions, though they do illustrate that Coleman is probably ahead. Of course, there's absentees & then the recount, so it doesn't mean that much.
