Obama won 51-48 in Douglas county, but lost 57-41 in Sarpy.

It'll probably end up being the sliver-thin margin Terry won NE-02 by.

Here's the full result:
Barack Obama Democrat 114,212
John McCain Republican 113,853
Ralph Nader By Petition 1,299
Bob Barr Libertarian 837
Chuck Baldwin Nebraska 495
Cynthia McKinney Green 265
I wonder why the national media hasn't mentioned this. Only the local media has.

I'm not sure if this new tendency to appeal to the apparent inherent evil of Xahar in all things even remotely related to forum policing or this damn game is especially helpful.

On the GOP side, for 2016, look out for Gov. Phill Kline (KS), Gov. Ralph Reed (GA), Gov. JD Hayworth (AZ), Sen. David Vitter (LA), among others.

it seems possible - not likely, but possible - that Ralph Nader cost Obama an Electoral vote. *facepalm*

Wow, this might be the biggest holy sh**t of the whole election. North Carolina and Indiana were impressive, too, though.

What really annoys me is that ever since the election was called for Obama, the media seems to have abandoned actually reporting the numbers of the race.

I asked about this in the results thread. I saw Obama won Douglas by 3 (said 4 in that thread, it was 3) while losing Sarpy by 16, but it's the least Republican areas of Sarpy in the district... It appears that, yes, NE-02 voted for Obama by about 350 votes, fewer votes than the number received by three of the four minor party candidates on the ballot in the district. Sarpy and Douglas are both 100% reporting, so those numbers must be final. Wow.
This election gets another first: first time a state splits its electoral votes by congressional district (at least in modern electoral history).

This shows Obama down SLIGHTLY in NE-2.
Here's a guessing game, construct a sentence out of these words relating to NE-2:
Nader Democrat Greater Total Margin Loss

Israel and the United States "killing dozens of civilians with explosives", as you phrase it, has, throughout history, almost always been a good thing.

Last I checked, you can make a similar sentence relating to Indiana and North Carolina, substituting " Barr Republican" for "Nader Democrat."

It's pretty funny that Nader prevented the first time in history where either Nebraska or Maine split their electoral votes.

I can see it now....
Questioner: "So, Nader how do you feel about costing Obama a Nebraska elector?"
Nader: "Obama cost himself that elector. Obama was simply not a good candidate for Nebraska. If only blah blah blah blah blah, then he could have won Nebraska."

Except they don't actually cast votes.
