Sorry, you need 18 posts. And at least I would prefer if not all 18 comes in this thread, since the idea is really for people to engage in the forum first and THEN participate in the fantasy election.

Why?  Because I AM a Progressive.  In real life, I almost always vote for Democrats because not doing so would increase the chance of the Republicans winning, but those considerations seem pretty trivial in a "fantasy" election where the winner has no actual power.

And if you are really concerned about Progressives taking votes away from Democrats: Harry, as a leader of the current administration, why don't you advocate implementing a voting system in the constitution that will eliminate that possibility, like instant-runoff?

Because we're trying to be somewhat like real life.

I don't know about that......especially if we're using registered voters as a basis of making the districts. I mean....what if a WHOLE bunch of people register....but then don't partake in the election...or even the Fantasy Election process. Then we will have districts based on a majority that isn't there to participate.

The way it usually works in real life......is if you register....and then fail to vote for four years or so....then your registration is no longer active. That's how I think it should be here......as long as you register....you don't have to register again.....AS LONG....as you vote in elections. If you fail to vote in two elections in a row...then you must register again to insure the people of the forum that you are SERIOUS about Fantasy Elections.

You've just done it yourself.
I take it you're registering as a Republican? (Even though your moniker is taken from a different 20th-century party? Smiley )

Yes. You're now registered. It doesn't really matter what party preference you state, I mean you don't have to do that. But if you don't state one it's harder for us to know wha to count you as, considering that you have a Dem avatar...
