     Here are the combined Congressional delegations of each state:



     Without even getting into the changes, the map enumerates the complete weakness of the Republicans in the Northeast, or even the Midwest for that matter.

or in the West outside of Mormon areas and Alaska (which is heavily settled by migrants from the Bible Belt)

     Indeed. Maine sticks out like a sore thumb on the map.

Florida is also kind of odd. I'd expect it to be Dem, but I guess gerrymandering + a strong state Republican party is preventing us from making very many gains.

     Yep. It currently stands at 15 R, 10 D. If you had succeeded in knocking off the three Cubans (the Diaz-Balarts & Ros-Lehtinen) though, you would control that delegation.
